New training center to be set up in Razeni

Chisinau, Dec. 22 /MOLDPRES/- General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations /IGSU/ will have a new training center in Răzeni. An official inauguration ceremony of the headquarters was held today. Attending the event were Minister of Internal Affairs Adrian Efros, IGSU management, representatives of the Romanian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova, as well as the local public authorities.

Efros said that the opening of the new training center for rescuers and firefighters, which is equipped at the European level, represents another firm step in aligning our country with the EU standards.

He pointed out that the training center will create a necessary environment for the training of 112 operators and IGSU and IGP dispatchers in order to improve the quality of specialized emergency services offered to the population in various risk situations.

In his speech, IGSU head Alexandru Oprea said that a qualitative training of specialists can only be achieved in conditions favorable to the instructional-educational process. 

The building was built as a result of a project financed by the European Union through the Joint Operational Program Romania- Moldova 2014-2020.

The project is estimated at 2.6 million euros.
