PHOTO // Theaters from Moldova, Azerbaijan to develop joint artistic projects under Memorandum

Exchanges of performances, tours, joint artistic projects and professional expertise will be developed between theaters of Moldova and Azerbaijan, under a Memorandum of Cooperation signed at Culture Ministry today. The agreement was concluded between the Eugène Ionesco National Theater of Moldova and the Azerbaijan State National Academic Drama Theater and is valid for a period of five years.

The memorandum provides for the joint organization of performances and artistic projects, participation in festivals and tours, as well as exchanges between theater professionals. Artists and specialists from the two institutions will have the opportunity to share their experience, participate in joint professional activities, and develop new initiatives in the theatre field.

The document was signed during the visit to Moldova by a delegation from the Azerbaijan State National Academic Drama Theater. According to the provisions of the memorandum, the institutions will facilitate the exchange of best practices and experience, contributing to the development of new artistic and professional collaborations.

On this occasion, Culture Minister Dan Suruceanu met Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Moldova Ulvi Bakhshaliyev and representatives of the two theaters. The officials discussed cultural relations between Moldova and Azerbaijan, as well as opportunities to expand cooperation in the field of theater.

Representatives of the Azerbaijani delegation presented the activities of the institution they represent and expressed interest in professional exchanges and the implementation of joint projects with artists Moldova.

The delegation of the Azerbaijan State National Academic Drama Theater is in  Moldova on September 28- October 4, at an invitation by the Eugène Ionesco National Theater. The visit’s agenda includes professional meetings and attendance at the theater's performances.
