Chisinau, April 3 /MOLDPRES/- Justice has been done to Moldovan citizens, who receive back this state asset - Chisinau International Airport. I ask the state institutions to ensure that the property taken over is inspected and the irregularities are investigated. I request that the fee of EUR 9 per passenger be revised, as reducing it. President Maia Sandu made the statements at today's briefing at the airport.
Maia Sandu asked the Airport administration to ensure best operation from now on, so that citizens can benefit from more routes to more destinations, at affordable prices. "The airport is not a simple state asset, it must become a regional one, which provides the necessary infrastructure for Moldova to connect more with the European economic space. The justice institutions must ensure that all persons involved in this theft are punished according to the law. I am convinced that in the coming years we will succeed in building a European justice system and a European infrastructure. This is the path we have all chosen together", Sandu said.
The president said that the last parliamentary and presidential elections were much more important than we could imagine at the time. "Viewed in the context of the war started by Russia against Ukraine, those elections were the last half-opened doors to the European Union, and you and I did not miss this chance. Today we gather an important result of those decisions. Justice is being done to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, who are getting back this state asset - the airport", Maia Sandu said.
