Chisinau, 24 August /MOLDPRES/ - The Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) today informed that it had suspended the Certificate of Air Operator (AOC) of the Air Moldova Company, for reasons that there is no even one airship which holds a valid certificate of navigability.

„The only aircraft managed by the Air Moldova air operator is in maintenance and the works planned for last April have not been finished so far. The airship’s certificate of navigability expired on 21 August 2023 and, in the lack of a valid certificate of navigability, which shows the airship’s operability, the air company cannot hold a Certificate of Air Operator,’’ the quotes source said.

Thus, at a request by the operator, the Civil Aviation Authority suspended AOC of Air Moldova till 31 October 2023. In the context of the cancellation of all flights by the Air Moldova private air operator, passengers are urged to claim their rights, asking the air operator to return the cost of the tickets.

The requests and claims will be sent to the air company, and subsequently, in case of an unsatisfactory result, - to the Civil Aviation Authority. ‘’Concomitantly, do not hesitate to call the consumer’s phone number (022)823583 for a free of charge consultation,’’ AAC added.
