Moldovan government proposed for public consultations project to alleviate energy crisis
Chisinau, Aug. 3 /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development presented yesterday for public consultations and expertise a draft Government decision that provides for the approval of measures to prevent and mitigate the impact of the energy crisis in case of limiting the supply of natural gas and preparation for the 2022-2023 heating season.
The main provisions of the draft decision are: the establishment of the institutional composition of the Government Commission for the coordination of the necessary measures to be taken by the authorities/companies to prevent and mitigate the impact of the energy crisis in case of limitation of the supply of natural gas during the heating season 2022- 2023; the analysis of potential risks in case of natural gas limitations or suspensions (three scenarios with probabilities of limiting the supply of natural gas in proportions of 35%, 50% and 100% were analyzed and included); establishing the necessary measures to be taken by the authorities/companies to prevent and mitigate the impact of the energy crisis in the event of limiting the supply of natural gas, etc.
Proposals can be sent to the ministry until August 5 inclusive.
