Share of Moldovan exports to EU close to 60 percent

Chisinau, 17 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Exports of goods to the European Union countries in January - November last year amounted to 2354 million dollars, up by 36.2% compared to the same period of the previous year. They have a share of 59.1% in total exports, down 2.2 percentage points compared to January - November 2021.

According to the National Statistics Bureau (BNS), exports of goods to the CIS countries in 11 months of 2022 had a value of 929.3 million dollars, 2.2 times more compared to the similar period in 2021. These equate to a share of 23.3% in total exports, increasing by 8.3 percentage points compared to January - November 2021.

The analysis of the evolution of exports by country reveals an increase in goods deliveries to Ukraine (by 7.5 times, mainly generated by the increase in deliveries (re-exports) of oil and liquefied gas products), Romania (+52.3%), Italy (+ 40.9%), Bulgaria (2.1 times), Iran (2910.1 times, due to significant deliveries of sunflower seed oil, worth 51.8 million US dollars).

In January-November last year, exports of goods amounted to 3985.3 million dollars, a value higher by 41.3%, compared to that recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year. Of the total exports, 69.4% were domestic goods.
