Sweden, UNDP offer grants to support farmers on both banks of Dniester River

Chisinau, 28 December /MOLDPRES/- Sweden and UNDP provide grants of up to 50,000 dollars to support agricultural producers and processors on both banks of the Dniester River.

According to the UNDP press service, a grant competition will be launched today for agricultural producers and processors on both banks of the Dniester, who want to join forces to adopt innovative technologies in producing and processing agricultural products to enhance competitiveness and access new sales markets.

Applicants may submit applications with at least two producers or one producer and an agricultural processor on both banks of the Dniester, who express their commitment to associate and create new jobs, especially for women and socially vulnerable people. Selected project proposals will get non-reimbursable funding of up to 50,000 dollars for the purchase of equipment and machinery. The winning partnerships will also benefit from business development consultancy.

The proposed projects are to address business ideas related to the inclusion of new technologies, reduction of production costs, adaptation of production or processing to the new needs of the market under COVID-19.

The deadline for submitting applications is 5 February 2021, 16:00.
