In communication with citizens, government identifies problems, solutions - Moldovan PM says
Chisinau, 30 October /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Ion Chicu listed several current issues faced by our citizens, identified during weekly trips to the territory or reported by citizens addressing the government, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The premier said that an acute problem in rural areas is depopulation. "People leave villages for various reasons, one of which is the lack or low level of income, lack of infrastructure and utilities. Even if we offer the allowance worth 120 thousand lei for young specialists in education, medicine and we will extend it to specialists in other fields, anyway young people do not crowd to return to villages, the main reason being the lack of good roads, aqueducts and sanitation. For this reason, the government focuses on solving complex problems, because they are interconnected ", he said.
He also approached the issues of division in society and the actions taken by the government to strengthen society, especially in times of crisis.
According to the prime minister, another problem reported by citizens is the lack of access to quality public services, health care and education services, especially in rural areas. "The problem that people ask us to solve is to rehabilitate houses of culture and spiritual life in rural areas. And we are thinking of a strategy in this regard. As we think about the rehabilitation of economic life in the rural sector. Or, agriculture and agricultural businesses are the main contributors to the local budget and we are already implementing specific projects to support this sector ", he said.
