Moldovan head of state has meeting with Ambassador of United Arab Emirates
Chisinau, 26 June /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had her first discussion with Kyiv-based Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Moldova Salem Ahmed Al Kaabi, the presidential press service has reported.
The officials discussed subjects on the bilateral agenda between Moldova and UAE. They also considered possibilities of boosting the commercial and economic relations through the attraction of investments from the Emirates to Moldova’s economy. The president of Moldova approached the possibility of resuming the direct flights and of including the country in the list of states, whose citizens benefit from visas when arriving in UAE.
President Maia Sandu congratulated the United Arab Emirates on the successful organization of the Exhibition Dubai 2020 and welcomed the hosting of the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference, due to take place in the end of this year. Moldova backs the multilateral cooperation for the management of the climate changes and the implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, Paris Agreement on Climate Changes and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
