On 7 November 2026, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri held a meeting with Ambassadors of Ireland, Italy, the United Kingdom, Romania, the United States and the Netherlands accredited to the OSCE in Vienna.

The discussions focused on the main developments in the Transnistrian settlement process, as well as on the reintegration policies pursued by Chișinău. The Deputy Prime Minister referred to the new tax regulations and the application of uniform rules for economic agents on both banks of the Dniester. He also presented the steps for operationalizing the Convergence Fund, through which the authorities aim to expand the access of residents of the Transnistrian region to social, medical and educational services and to support infrastructure modernization projects.

Valeriu Chiveri drew attention to violations of fundamental human rights and freedoms in the Transnistrian region. The Deputy Prime Minister urged the OSCE to use all the instruments at its disposal to help resolve the reported cases and remove the barriers imposed by the region to the free movement of people, goods and commodities.
