Moldovan premier has meeting with representatives of mobile electronic communications sector
Chisinau, 7 October /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today summoned a working meeting to discuss with providers of mobile electronic communication services and representatives of competent authorities developments in the sector and measures on the joint agenda, in order to enhance the competitiveness and quality of services provided to citizens.
According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the PM stressed the importance of the transparency in the process of formation of costs of the fixed and mobile telephony services in Moldova. In these conditions, the government will provide needed support to operators from the field and will ensure the development of a modern infrastructure of electronic communications in Moldova.
„The value of services provided by mobile communications operators is incontestable for the national economy and the entire society. We ascertain that, on the period of the pandemic crisis, this industry has an additional mission, as the services are more and more demanded,’’ Ion Chicu said.
Representatives of companies providing services came up with more proposals, which are to be consulted with the cabinet. They expressed openness for an efficient cooperation, meant to contribute to the further development of the sector and providing of qualitative services at reasonable prices.
