Chisinau, March 4 / MOLDPRES /- President Maia Sandu had a meeting on Thursday with Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic Jean-Ives Le Drian and European Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarcic, on a working visit to Chisinau, the presidential press service has reported.
Officials discussed recent security developments in Moldova and the region, as well as coordinated actions by Chisinau authorities in managing the flow of refugees from the neighboring country. Maia Sandu appreciated the support of France and the support of the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, for our country. The head of state also expressed her gratitude for the humanitarian aid provided by France, noting that it contributes to the authorities' efforts to help refugees in Ukraine.
Maia Sandu told the two officials that the Republic of Moldova needs rapid additional assistance in redirecting the flow of refugees to other countries, which have greater capacity to accommodate refugees.
