
Moldovan PM-designate presents governmental team in parliament
Chisinau, 16 February /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister-designate Dorin Recean presented the composition of the governmental team in parliament today.
More ministers of the Gavrilita cabinet are in the Dorin Recean’s team, except for four new names. It is about Veronica Sireteanu, put forward for the office of Finance Minister, Veronica Mihailov-Moraru, put up for the position of Justice Minister and Lilia Dabija, who is to lead the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry. At the same time, a new ministry will be set up in the new government – the Energy Ministry, due to be led by an expert in energy sector, Victor Parlicov.
Nicu Popescu will remain in the office of Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister and Oleg Serebrian will continue to hold the position of Deputy PM for Reintegration. Dumitru Alaiba is put forward for the office of Deputy Prime Minister, Economic Development and Digitalization Minister. The fourth position of deputy prime minister will be held by Vladimir Bolea, due to further lead the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry.
Ana Revenco is to remain Interior Minister and Anatolie Topala is to lead, in continuation, the Education and Research Ministry. Ala Nemerenco will further held the position of Health Minister. Sergiu Prodan will keep its office of Culture Minister, Anatolie Nosatii will remain Defence Minister and Alexei Buzu will further act as labour and Social Protection Minister. Iordanca-Rodica Iordanov will preserve its office of Environment Minister.
According to the constitutional provisions, the action programme and the list of the government are discussed at parliament meeting. The parliament gives vote of confidence to the cabinet with the votes of the majority of the MPs elected.
Based on the vote of confidence given by the parliament, the Moldovan president appoints the government. The cabinet exercises its powers starting from the day when its members take oath before of the head of state.
