
Latvia to donate over 160,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to Moldova
Chisinau, 9 July /MOLDPRES/- Latvia will donate more than 160,000 doses of Vaxzevria vaccine to Moldova to support the fight against COVID-19 and to increase the daily number of vaccinations, according to a statement by the Latvian Embassy in Chisinau.
Moldova will get the AstraZeneca serum as part of the first bilateral donation package.
This week, the Latvian government decided to donate 165,600 doses of vaccine to five countries: Moldova, Georgia, Albania, Montenegro and Kenya. They were selected under Latvia's foreign policy priorities.
Yesterday, the Romanian government adopted a decision on the donation of over 100 thousand doses of Pfizer BioNTech to the Republic of Moldova.
