
Chisinau, 22 December /MOLDPRES/- The promulgation decree and the law amending Law No156/1998 on public pension system were published in the Official Journal of Moldova. Thus, from 1 January 2022, the retirement age for women will be 57 years and 62 years for men.
The document also sees that women who have given birth and educated five or more children by the age of 8 will retire at 54 years.
At the same time, for people who have completed the contribution period in special working conditions for at least 10 full years, the retirement age is reduced from 5 years to 9 years and 6 months, depending on the period.
Currently, both women and men from the Republic of Moldova retire at 63 years old.
