Chisinau, 21 November /MOLDPRES/ - An endocrinology section was inaugurated at the Mother and Child Institute from the Moldovan capital today. The section was renovated with the support of the Romanian government.

Romania’s Ambassador to Moldova Daniel Ionita has said that the money within this project was used properly. “We are quite contended with what we have seen here. The happiness of this project should be read both on faces of those who work here and of children under treatment at the section. We want that there are European conditions for all children from the country; in this way, we will continue the same line and will keep an eye, step by step, on the evolution of the projects we have committed to carry out. I am happy that namely citizens of Moldova will benefit from all these projects,” Daniel Ionita said.

For her part, Health, Labour and Social Protection Minister Stela Grigoras noted that this project was very important for Moldova’s health system.

“This is a unique section which treats more than 10,600 children with endocrinology pathologies. This is a modernly renovated section and with very good conditions for maintaining children. We will continue modernizing hospitals, as we are firmly sure that the endowment with technical equipment and the public medical and sanitary conditions influence the health condition of Moldova’s residents. At the same time, we will carry out these things in cooperation with out foreign partners,” Grigoras added.

The concerned project is worth 2.1 million lei, of which 550,000 lei for the section’s furniture.
