Government supports potential investors coming to Moldova

Chisinau, 23 February /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Pavel Filip today had a meeting with representatives of the Fritzmeier Group, who plan to invest in the free economic zone “Balti”. First, the company plans to arrange a production area of 2,000 square meters, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Filip assured the potential investor of the government’s openness and reiterated that the main purpose of the authorities is to provide a better quality life to citizens, an objective that can only be achieved after economic development and creation of attractive conditions for investors. “We are a pro-business government, because we want to make social and public investments, and budget money can only be obtained from economic activity”, he said.

In this context, Filip tackled the measures impacting the business environment, including the reform of institutions with control functions, reducing the number of permits while implementing single window, reducing the number of reports and simplifying the reporting process, amendments to the Labor Code and actions to liberalize the labor market. Also, the premier stressed the efficiency of the Economic Council platform to the premier, which ensures a permanent dialogue with business people.

For their part, the Fritzmeier Group representatives appreciated the willingness of the administration of the free economic zone and the local authorities to provide support for the launch of their activity in Moldova. The company is interested in performing in our country activities such as: mechanical, metal welding, painting and packaging of parts.

Fritzmeier Group is producing booths, solutions for vehicle industry, with a vast experience of nearly a century. Currently, the company has 13 factories in 12 countries, including Germany and countries in Asia, America and South America, where over 2,800 employees work.
