Over 40 parties to participate in new local elections on 20 May

Chisinau, 4 April /MOLDPRES/- Over 40 parties and social-political organizations have the right to participate in the mayors’ elections on 20 May, the Central Election Commission (CEC) announced today.

The list has been published on the CEC website. Under the document, the parties include – the Democratic Party of Moldova, the European People’s Party of Moldova, Liberal Party, Party of Socialists of Moldova, Party of Communists, Liberal Democratic Party, Action and Solidarity Party, Dignity and Truth Platform Party, Our Party and Shor Party.

On 20 May, new mayors will be elected in seven localities: Chisinau and Balti municipalities, Leuseni and Nemteni villages (Hancesti district), Volovita village (Soroca district), Jora de Mijloc (Orhei) and Parlita (Ungheni).
