Moldovan parliament to organise exhibitions on European Museum Night

Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/ – The Parliament of Moldova organises exhibitions of the European Night of Museums for the second consecutive year, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

In the Parliament square, it will be arranged exhibition containing photos of children participating in competition "EU sunt EUropa" (I am Europe). The contest organised by Parliament was attended by pupils from secondary schools and high schools all over Moldova, which expressed by photos meaning to be European.

Also, it will be presented vintage cars collection of Parliament to the public. Such cars, like: ZIL 41047 and CIAIKA GAZ 14 were used in past to transport high – ranking officials, being used by former Presidents Mircea Snegur and Petru Lucinschi.

The visitors can also watch several screenings of films, reflecting Parliament's history, legislative process and parliamentary activity. The visitors will also be able to admire photo exhibition "Parlamentul in 27 de file" (Parliament in 27 files), featuring images of accredited photographers in Parliament.

The actions will take place on Saturday, 19 May 2018, in Parliament square, at 19:00 – 22:00.

The Museum of the Parliament of Moldova was inaugurated on 23 May 2017, at initiative of Speaker of Parliament, Andrian Candu.

The European Night of Museums is at its 14th issue in 2018, being initiated by the Ministry of Culture and Communication of France, sponsored by the Council of Europe, UNESCO and the International Council of Museums. Over 3,000 museums from 47 countries have joined this event by now.
