Distribution of ballot papers for electoral councils starts

Chisinau, 21 February /MOLDPRES/- During today and tomorrow, ballots and other electoral materials will be distributed to the electoral councils of the uninominal electoral constituencies in the country. The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) made the statement today.

The process is conducted according to a predetermined schedule for all three printing houses contracted by CEC to print ballots.

According to CEC, the territorial police inspectorate staff provide the escort of ballot papers from the printing to the district electoral councils and their security until election day.

On 24 February, parliamentary elections and republican consultative referendum will take place in the Republic of Moldova. Citizens will receive four ballots. In total, about 12 million ballots have been printed for the polling stations in the country.
