National Penitentiary Administration has new interim director

Chisinau, 11 October /MOLDPRES/- Liuba Jignea-Suveica will serve as acting director of the National Penitentiary Administration (ANP). An order to this effect was signed by Minister of Justice Olesea Stamate.

Liuba Jignea-Suveica is senior inspector of justice and will provide the interim position until the appointment of a new director.

The new head was introduced to the team of the institution by State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, Veronica Mihailov-Moraru.

In late August, the Ministry of Justice announced that no candidate has passed the interview test in the contest for the position of director of ANP. At the same time, during the contest, several ambiguities were found in regulation, and as a result, it was decided to suspend the contest until all obsolete provisions were rectified.

The ANP director position remained vacant in November 2018, following the resignation of former head Aureliu Suhan.
