Soldiers of Moldova's Stefan cel Mare motorized infantry brigade 2 take oath

Chisinau, 22 November /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon, in his capacity of Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, today participated in a ceremony on the taking of military oath by the strength of the Stefan cel Mare motorized infantry brigade 2, the presidential press service has reported.
The Moldovan president welcomed the soldiers recently conscripted into the National Army on the taking of oath. Dodon noted that, by starting the military service, they had assumed the most important responsibility to the people – the one to defend the Motherland.
Igor Dodon urged the servicemen to be worthy successors of Ruler Stefan cel Mare, whose name the brigade bears. He said that the National Army had the basic role in the guaranteeing of Moldova’s sovereignty and independence.
The head of state also addressed to the family members attending the event and thanked them for the education and care with which they had brought up their sons. Igor Dodon also said that the International Sons Day was marked on 22 November, on which occasion Moldova can be proud of its sons.
The Moldovan president asked Defence Minister, General Victor Gaiciuc and the leadership of the National Army and the brigade to pay special attention to the ensuring and improving the soldiers’ living conditions.
