Moldovan foreign affairs minister meets state secretary of German Ministry of the Interior

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Aureliu Ciocoi today had a meeting with State Secretary at Germany’s Ministry of the Interior Helmut Teichmann.

According to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s press service, the officials tackled more subjects of mutual interest, in particular, the ones regarding the good cooperation between the interior ministries and security structures from both states. The sides also discussed such issues as the increase in the number of asylum seekers born in Moldova and boosting the interaction of the border police from the two countries.

The officials agreed on concrete steps as to the strengthening of the cooperation between the Interior Ministries from Germany and Moldova, including through the organization of eventual bilateral fact-collecting visits by experts.

Minister Aureliu Ciocoi thanked the German side for the support provided by the Federal Ministry of the Interior to the Moldovan side.
