Embassy of United Kingdom to finance environmental projects in Moldova

Chisinau, 20 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Embassy of the United Kingdom in Chisinau has announced a contest of proposals of projects meant for organizations with experience of work in the sector of climate changes and environment problems from Moldova. The applications on participation can be submitted till 21 April.  

This appeal refers, in particular, to proposals of projects dealing with the four priorities of the United Kingdom, as part of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to assess progress in dealing with climate change and host of the COP26 Summit, due in November 2020.

These priorities see clean growth: emphasis put on renewable energy; combatting emissions; a clean growth in such sectors as energy, transport and industry; ecological finances; ecological transformation of the financial sector; solutions based on nature; attenuation of the climate changes and loss of biodiversity; restoration of the natural habitats and ecosystems; adaptation and resilience: helping communities to prepare for natural disasters.     

Project proposals worth up to 20,000 euros are welcome.   

The criteria of selection will be based on aligning the project with the aforementioned topic-related priorities and the allocations of financing for 2020/21 must be spent till 31 December 2020.
