Chisinau, 7 April /MOLDPRES/- The National Bank of Moldova on Tuesday urged citizens not to disclose the information about the bank card. The institution comes with this advice in the context of boosting in recent days attempts to manipulate card holders to disclose confidential information that would allow unauthorized access to payment cards.

The BNM reiterates the need to ensure the confidentiality of the data concerning the bank card. In order to avoid unauthorized use of cards, the National Bank warns that no person has the right to request information on bank card or single-use passwords by SMS in order to confirm certain transactions, sources from the country's central bank have said.

Thus, the BNM calls for caution to citizens, especially in the social context influenced by COVID-19, which may induce prejudice.
