Moldovan cabinet to earmark 1.4 billion lei for health system

Chisinau, 16 April /MOLDPRES/ - The government on 17 April will approve rectifications to the 2020 state budget and will allocate 1.4 billion lei for the health system.
According to PM Ion Chicu, an additional of 1.4 million lei was earmarked for the health system.
„We will additionally allocate this money for the medical system of Moldova, so that it copes with this epidemic. There are different financing sources, including foreign ones,’’ Chicu said.
At the same time, the prime minister informed that another 1.6 billion lei would be earmarked for the social insurances budget, as well as 2.1 billion lei – for the business environment’s assistance. The draft is to be approved in parliament.
