More laws of Election Code to be adjusted

Chisinau, 1 June /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission announced today the initiation of the elaboration of some draft decisions on revision of several laws. The amendments include peculiarities of registering candidates in the elections for the position of President of the Republic of Moldova.

A press release of the CEC announces that changes will be made in the activity of the lower electoral bodies and in the provisions on the appointment and registration of candidates in the elections for President of the Republic of Moldova. The need to work out the projects is to adjust the provisions of the normative acts in force to the rules of the Electoral Code, as well as improving the existing provisions on the procedure for appointing and registering candidates for elections for President of Moldova, and the activity of the lower electoral bodies.

Thus, the CEC announces the initiation of the elaboration of the following draft decisions:

- „on amending the Regulation on peculiarities of nomination and registration of candidates in the elections for the position of President of the Republic of Moldova, approved by the decision of the Central Electoral Commission No113 of 18 August 2016”.

- „on amending the Regulation on activity of the constituency electoral council, approved by the decision of the Central Electoral Commission No1702 of 19 June 2018”.

- „on amending the Regulation on the activity of the electoral bureaus of the polling stations, approved by the decision of the Central Electoral Commission No1734 of 3 July 2018”.
