Moldovan foreign affairs minister to pay official visit to Ukraine

Chisinau, 3 August /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Oleg Tulea on 4 August will pay an official visit to Ukraine, at an invitation by his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s press service has reported.

The two foreign ministers are to discuss a wide range of subjects on the Moldovan-Ukrainian agenda, as well as diverse topical regional and international issues.

The bilateral cooperation between Moldova and Ukraine is solid and the subjects of interest will regard the consolidation of high-level political contacts, including the signing of bilateral documents between the two countries’ foreign affairs ministries.

The two diplomacy heads will give a joint news conference on 4 August at 11:30, which is to be broadcast live on the Moldovan ministry’s Facebook page.

At the same time, a special subject on the agenda will be the setting of common priorities within the Eastern Partnership and the exchange of experience in the process of the two countries’ European integration.

The presence of the Moldovan minister in Kiev fits into the Moldovan authorities’ goals as to the development of strategic partnerships in the relations with the friendly neighbour countries.
