Museographers from central Moldova trained in Moldovan-Romanian project

Chisinau, 17 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- Several museographers from the Central Region of the Republic of Moldova, beneficiaries of the MuseumInfoTur cross-border project, participate in a training entitled Interpretation of cultural heritage for tourist groups on February 16-18. The session takes place online and is organized by the project partner. The Lower Danube Euroregion Cross-Border Cooperation Association in Galați, Romania.

"The tourism branch needs support because working with specialists in the field, within this project, we understood that we have something to be proud of, and our Tourist Information Centers will come to support the visitor, providing truthful information about what, where and how to reach the most original destinations in the region. The agenda of this training is very well structured and we hope that it meets the needs of the participants ", explained for MOLDPRES Lilia Țurcan, project manager" MuseumInfoTur - Enhancing and enhancing the visibility of cultural and historical heritage within the cross-border network of museums - Tourist Information Centers " .

This cross-border project is carried out by the Regional Development Agency (ADR) Center in partnership with the Association for Tourism Development in Moldova (Moldova) and the Cross-Border Cooperation Association "Lower Danube Euroregion" (Romania). It is funded by the European Union. through the European Neighborhood Instrument and co-financed by the project beneficiaries.

Currently, in addition to the training sessions, the project includes works that provide the Tourist Information Centers with furniture and information panels, the creation of a profile of major tourist destinations in the project area, to determine several common tourist routes and at the same time for the establishment of excursion programs. At the same time, a common brand of the network is being developed, as well as a Guide to the destinations of cross-border cultural tourism in the Republic of Moldova and Romania, in the localities part of the project, according to ADR Center.

The implementation period of the MuseumInfoTur cross-border project is April 14, 2020 - May 13, 2022 and provides for the creation of Tourist Information Centers in the museums of Calarasi, Criuleni, Mereni, Orhei, Straseni, Soldanesti, Rezina and Galati (Romania).
