Moldovan fine artist marks 80th birthday anniversary

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/ - A book painter, drawer, artistic editor and teacher Aurel Gutu turned 80 today.
Aurel Gutu was born in the Corpaci village, Edinet district, on 12 March 1942. He studied at the I. Repin Republican School of Fine Arts from Chisinau (1960-1967), presently the Alexandru Plamadeala Republican College and Fine Arts and the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography from Moscow (1967-1973), Scenography Faculty, cartoon section.
According to the National Calendar, he is the author of illustrations for about 100 books, including for children.
