National Day of Cancer Survivors to be marked in Moldova

Chisinau, 7 June /MOLDPRES/ - The National Day of Cancer Survivors will be marked in Moldova. The parliamentary commission for culture, education, research, youth, sport and mass media today approved the report for a legislative initiative which proposes the completion of the parliament’s decision on commemorative days, holidays and days off.
The draft decision belongs to MPs Gheorghe Ichim, Oleg Canațui and Iurie Păsat of the faction of the Action and Solidarity Party.
Thus, they suggest that the National Day of Cancer Survivors should be marked annually on the first Sunday of June. According to the authors, the initiative’s goal is to enhance the degree of awareness about the challenges faced by the people who suffered from this disease.
The proposal on the establishment of the National Day of Cancer Survivors will be considered in parliament’s plenum.
