ANRE: Fuel prices determined by increase in international quotations

Chisinau, July 10. /MOLDPRES/- The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) announced that the recent appreciation of fuel prices is exclusively due to the increase in Platts quotations for oil-derived products on international exchanges, an indicator that is the basis of the current method of determining the price level.

According to ANRE, in the interval of the last two weeks, which is used by ANRE to calculate prices, the increase in Platts quotations is $35/ton in the case of diesel and $33/ton in the case of petrol, a trend that continues.

At the same time, the Agency notes another factor that currently contributes to the increase in the final price of petroleum products - the depreciation of the national currency in relation to the US dollar, which in the same period is about 0.36 lei.

For tomorrow, ANRE has set a maximum price for COR 95 petrol of 24.26 lei, increasing by 0.1 lei. At the same time, diesel will be sold at a maximum of 20.24 lei per liter, up by 0.12 lei.
