Chisinau, July 10. /MOLDPRES/- In the first week after the prohibition of activity based on entrepreneur's patent, over 400 former patent holders registered in the new independent activity regime. Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization presented the figures today.

38 former patent holders, who switched to independent activity, requested compensation for expenses for home appliances. Alaiba said that the money will be transferred to them urgently.

At today's meeting of the economy, budget and finance committee of the Parliament, hearings were organized on the transition of patent holders to independent economic activity. Representatives of the involved state institutions and market administrators were heard at the meeting.

According to the administration of the Municipal Enterprise "Piaţa Centrală", out of the 380 patent holders, about 210 have already switched to independent activity, about 40 have established Limited Liability Companies or Individual Enterprises. Other holders remain undecided or are under reorganization. As a result of the reform, the number of new contracts concluded has increased, as the new form of legal organization offers traders greater possibilities, including more places of trade.

As of July 1, retail trade activity at stalls, counters, booths, kiosks, pavilions and from vehicles, as well as trade in domestic food products and easily perishable goods, is no longer allowed under the patent. To continue their commercial activity, taxpayers can switch to a simplified tax regime - independent activity or register in another organizational-legal form.

Several patent holders were unhappy with the reform, especially with the fact that with the transition to a new type of activity, they will be forced to own a home appliance. Under these conditions, the state decided to grant a compensation of 10 thousand lei (500 euros), money that the traders will be able to use for the purchase of household appliances or the setting up of the workplace.
