Moldovan pupils won bronze medal, honorable mentions at International Biology Olympiad

Chisinau, July 11. /MOLDPRES/- The Olympic team of the Republic of Moldova won a bronze medal and two honorable mentions at the International Biology Olympiad, held in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.

The bronze medal was won by Nikita Chiosa, a student at "Da Vinci" High School in Chisinau, and the honorable mentions - by Bianca-Sofia Leahu, a student at the Orizont Theoretical High School in Chisinau and Ana Iftodi, a student at the George Călinescu Theoretical High School in Chisinau.

According to the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC), about 320 students from 80 countries participated in the 34th edition of the International Biology Olympiad. The Republic of Moldova was represented by four students and two teachers.

The International Biology Olympiad took place in the United Arab Emirates, from July 3 to 11.
