USMF "Nicolae Testemițanu" rector Emil Ceban awarded title of Doctor Honoris Causa of "Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad

Chisinau, July 12. /MOLDPRES/- Rector of the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) "Nicolae Testemițanu", professor Emil Ceban was awarded the honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa of "Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad, Romania.

At the event, "Aurel Vlaicu" University rector Ramona Lile said that Emil Ceban has a particularly important role in the development of education and medical scientific research. "His scientific, academic and managerial activity has brought recognition at European and international level," said Ramona Lile.

For his part, Ceban said that by awarding this title, the activity and performances of the entire academic community of USMF "Nicolae Testemițanu" are appreciated. He appreciated the collaboration between the institutions. "We have the same roots and historical past, culture and outstanding personalities, we speak the same language. We always feel the Romanian state support for our country, especially during this period of pre-accession to the EU, for which we are deeply grateful", said the rector.

Emil Ceban is rector of USMF "Nicolae Testemițanu", university professor at the Department of Surgical Urology and Nephrology, president of Rectors' Council of the Republic of Moldova, corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, head of the Public Health Advisory Council to the prime minister of the Republic of Moldova and president of the Balkanic Medical Union of the Republic of Moldova.
