Chisinau, July 19. /MOLDPRES/- At today's cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Dorin Recean set the main goasls in the activity of the Ministry of Education and Research, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, institutions headed by new ministers early this week.

"Welcome to the new members of the government. Our objectives are very clear. In Education, we must consider increasing the efficiency of the university reform. It is important for universities to collaborate with businesses. We need to allocate more investments to improving the quality of education in schools and teacher training. At the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development we have two priorities. These are the European Village Program, where we need to reduce the project implementation cycle. Moreover, the government negotiated financing of about 500 million euros. This country, in the next two years, must be a construction site", he said.

In terms of internal affairs, the premier said that the priority should be to reduce the intervention time in any situation and to increase citizens' trust in law enforcement institutions.

He requested that in the next ten days, the new Ministers of Education, Internal Affairs and Infrastructure publicly present the actions to be taken to achieve the goals.

Early this week, three new ministers were appointed to the government. They are Dan Perciun, Minister of Education and Research, Andrei Spînu, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, and Adrian Efros, Minister of Internal Affairs. The changes were made after Anatolie Topală, Lilia Dabija and Ana Revenco resigned late last week.
