Working agenda of last plenary meetings of spring session approved

Chisinau, July 19. /MOLDPRES/- Parliament standing bureau approved at today's meeting the agenda of the last plenary meetings of the 2023 spring session.

On July 27-28, the parliament will ratify in the second reading the agreements with the World Bank on financial assistance of around 60 million euros for the modernization of the education system. In the second reading, the MPs will also examine the draft on the Center for Strategic Communication and Combating Disinformation, the initiative to amend the Code of Audiovisual Media Services of the Republic of Moldova, the Code on Science and Innovation and the Law on Youth. On the agenda of the plenary sessions of July 27-28 there is also a darft on the voluntary amalgamation of administrative-territorial units, as well as the project to optimize the activity of the National Agency for Public Health.

Also at today's meeting, the standing bureau approved a supplement to the agenda of the plenary sessions of the Parliament of July 20-21. Financial assistance agreements from the United States of America and Japan were included for first reading ratification. MPs will also consider the Agreement on construction of a cross-border road bridge over the Dniester River, at the Moldovan-Ukrainian state border, as well as the ratification of the Convention of the Member States of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development - GUAM on mutual assistance in consular matters. The agenda also included the denunciation, in the first or second reading, of some agreements concluded on the platform of the Commonwealth of Independent States, as well as the legislative initiative aimed at ensuring the separation and certification of natural gas transport operators.
