Industrial output decreases by 7.4 per cent in Moldova in last May

Chisinau, 20 July /MOLDPRES/ - The gross industrial output decreased by 7.4 per cent in last May against May 2022. Figures to this effect wwere unveiled by the National Statistics Bureau (BNS) today.
According to the quoted source, the gross industrial output reduced cumulatively by 6.4 per cent since the beginning of this year, on the period January-May 2023.
The diminution of the production in January-May was triggered by the decrease of the production in the extractive industry by 10.9 per cent, in the processing industry – by 7.9 per cent, as well as in the production and delivery of electric and thermal energy, gas, warm water and conditioned air.
