Chisinau, 20 July /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean has moved to the Galaseni village, northern Rascani district, where he visited businessman Igor Danila. For more than ten years, the entrepreneur has been investing in agriculture projects, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Igor Danila started his business from 7 hectares of land and presently he tills 190 hectares, on which he cultivates wheat, sunflower and maize. The farmer benefited from subsidies from the Agency of Intervention and Payments for Agriculture, in order to buy agricultural machinery and he is determined to remain in Moldova to develop his business. In the near future, Danila is set to extend his peasant farm, to till more land and to provide jobs to people from the settlement.

PM Dorin Recean discussed with the entrepreneur the challenges faced, among which the lack of labour force, as well as the opportunities of development existent in Moldova. The prime minister urged the young man to participate in the 373 governmental programme, which provides better conditions to enhance the productivity and discussed the cabinet’s policy of targeted subsidization.

„This approach allows us providing financial support to our farmers to develop their agricultural business and to improve the production, so that our products are competitive on the international market. In this way, we earn ground on the international stage and bring additional revenues to our economy,’’ PM Dorin Recean also said.
