MAEIE recommends Moldovan citizens to avoid traveling to areas of Greece affected by fires

Chisinau, July 24. /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MAEIE) recommends citizens of the Republic of Moldova to avoid traveling to areas in Greece affected by fires.
Thus, the ministry notes that in the context of the vegetation fires, which are currently affecting the island of Rhodes, Greece, the Greek authorities have ordered the evacuation of citizens from the region, while the firefighters intervene to extinguish the fires.
At the same time, the MAEIE emphasizes that no Moldovan citizen has been affected, as no assistance requests have been received to our diplomatic mission in Athens. "In this context, we recommend Moldovan citizens to avoid traveling to the areas affected by the fires, and those who are already in those areas, to contact our diplomatic mission", said the ministry.
