Moldovan, Romanian officials approach current issues

Chisinau, July 25. /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu had a meeting with Bogdan Aurescu, Presidential Advisor for Foreign Policy to the President of Romania. Grosu thanked him for all support to our country, especially in the effort to open negotiations with the European Union.

According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, they discussed the importance of Romania's initiative to establish, at the European level, a separate regime of sanctions against people who try to destabilize the situation in our country. The officials also approached the security in the region, in the context of the latest attacks by the Russian Federation in Ukraine. The speaker pointed out that Romania is a reliable partner of our country in this context as well.

"Through Moldova Support Platform, an initiative of Romania, Germany and France, our country managed to get support to get through this winter well, to effectively manage the flow of refugees and, last but not least, to ensure peace in the country and to focus on the European agenda", Grosu said.
