Bronze medals and honorable mention for Moldova at International Chemistry Olympiad

Chisinau, July 25. /MOLDPRES/- Olympic team of the Republic of Moldova won two bronze medals and an honorable mention at the International Chemistry Olympiad.

Bronze medalists are Leo Sprâncean, a student at the "Aristotel" Republican Theoretical High School in Chisinau and Bianca-Sofia Leahu, a student at the "Orizont" Theoretical High School in the capital, and the honorable mention was obtained by Iulia Teleucă, a student at the same high school.

340 students from 87 countries participated in the 55th edition of the International Chemistry Olympiad. Moldova was represented by four students and two teachers.

The International Chemistry Olympiad is being held in Zurich, Switzerland, on July 16 - 25.
