Moldova to get 60 million dollars for school modernization

Chisinau, July 31. /MOLDPRES/- The World Bank will offer the Republic of Moldova financial assistance as a grant and a loan worth about 60 million dollars for the modernization of the education system. MPs ratified three agreements in this regard today.

Thus, the World Bank will offer the Republic of Moldova grants totaling 19.8 million dollars and a loan of 40 million dollars. The money will be used to increase the quality of education for children, pupils and students by creating safe, modern and needs-adapted learning environments. Also, three new high schools will be built and 15 schools and 15 kindergartens will be rehabilitated. Another 200 schools will receive money for modernization.

The agreements will be implemented in 2023-2027.
