Chisinau, Aug. 1 /MOLDPRES/- The national program for transfusion security and the country's provision with blood products for 2023-2027 was published in the Official Journal today.

The document aims to improve the activity of the blood transfusion service in the next five years, with the supply and maintenance of the necessary stocks of blood products, ensuring their quality and safety. More precisely, it is proposed to increase the performance of quality management through the international accreditation of laboratories, as well as the training of specialists.

According to the Ministry of Health, the estimated cost of implementing the program is over 777 million lei (about 39 million euros).
