Decision on extending state of emergency published in Official Journal

Chisinau, Aug. 1 /MOLDPRES/- The decision on extending the state of emergency in Moldova was published in the Official Journal today.

The state of emergency was extended by 60 days, starting on August 3.

The decision was motivated by the risks and threats posed by the Russian Federation's war in Ukraine.

During the state of emergency, the Commission for Emergency Situations will issue mandatory and enforceable provisions for the heads of central and local public administration authorities, economic agents, public institutions, as well as for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova and other persons on the territory of the country.

The state of emergency was set up on February 24, 2022, with the outbreak of war in Ukraine.
