Chisinau, August 10 /MOLDPRES/- The law amending some normative acts on budgetary-fiscal policy and the presidential decree on its promulgation were published in the Official Journal today.

The document includes fiscal instruments for attracting and maintaining skilled labor, the review of the mechanisms for calculating and paying fees, premises for discouraging the "salary in the envelope" phenomenon and measures to improve tax administration.

Among the concrete measures is the expansion of the spectrum of tax incentives and the revision of the categories of expenses borne by the employer in favor of the employees, allowed for deduction for tax purposes.

The document also provides for the standardization of the tax rates on the income of private people by setting at 6%.

At the same time, the act aims to maintain the rule to establish excise rates for a period of three years to ensure the achievement of the principle of predictability for the business environment, but also to have a clear forecast of budget revenues. Thus, it is expected that the tax on excise goods, including tobacco, cider, some petroleum products, will increase by 7% annually for the next three years, with the exception of some categories of products, such as liquefied gas, fuel, beer or alcohol.

The law on budgetary-fiscal policy enters into force on January 1, 2024, with some exceptions.
