Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean has participated in the Forum of the Association of Leaders in the field of services for business, held in Moldova for the first time ever, the government’s communication and protocol department reported.

The event, organized in partnership with the Investments Agency, with the financial support of the governments of Germany and Switzerland, brought together local and international specialists in the sector and representatives of governmental institutions, who referred to the perspectives of the business services sector in Moldova.

In his speech, the PM highlighted the role of the business services for companies and organizations, noting that this field was providing numerous opportunities and creating new jobs. According to the prime minister, the government will continue backing the sector’s development and creating new possibilities to integrate the Diaspora in the process of attracting investments.

„As government, we are engaged in Moldova’s accession to the European Union. The business services sector from our country has a huge potential and we can turn it good account for the benefit of the national economy. We should explore the way the business services sector can adjust its objectives and operations to the European standards and requirements. We will also create opportunities for the Diaspora, and due to the digitalization of the governmental platforms, our citizens from abroad will be able to get employed wherever they are and will thus be able to contribute to the country’s development,’’ PM Dorin Recean said.

The business services sector includes services of accountancy and finance, consultancy, digital marketing and advertising, as well as legal services. In 2022, this sector provided about 3,000 jobs.
