Moldovan Civil Aviation Authority issues authorization for making charter flight Tel Aviv - Chisinau

Chisinau, 13 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) today informed that, on 12 October evening, it had issued an authorization for the carrying out of the non-regular (charter) flight on the route Tel Aviv – Chisinau, demanded by the air company. After the proper verifications are finished, the authorization was issued at 22:30 and is valid during 72 hours.
At the same time, to avoid the wrong interpretation and misinforming of citizens, the institution specifies that the demand for the authorization of the charter flight had come on behalf of the provider of services of servicing on ground MGH Ground Handling of the Chisinau International Airport and was registered in the automated information system for management and issuance of permissive acts (SIA GEAP) at 15:40, as not all acts needed for authorization were submitted.
„Following the coordination between the representatives of the Authority and MGH Ground Handling, at about 18:30, the lacking acts were submitted as well. Although, according to the demand, this is a repatriation flight, the demander did not coordinate the flight with the relevant institutions of the state and for this reason, additional time was needed to verify the origin of the flight, the list of passengers and other elements needed, in order to ensure the national security, taking into account the fact that the fight is made from an area with increased risk,’’ AAC said.
The Civil Aviation Authority also says that only 13 out of 30 passengers are Moldova’s citizens, according to the information unveiled by the demander. AAC regrets any attempt to mislead and misinform the residents.
More forged information, launched by fugitive Ilan Shor, sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment, appeared on social networks on 12 October, alleging that the Moldovan authorities would block the evacuation of more citizens from Israel by a charter plane, made available by Ilan Shor.
