Chisinau municipal centre for people without stable residence work 24 hours in winter

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau municipal Centre for people without stable residence provides services 24 hours on the period 1 November – 31 March. Presently, the Centre hosts 44 beneficiaries.

According to the city hall, beneficiaries are brought to the Centre by police representatives, through their sending from the district social assistance departments, from hospitals, as a result of their informing in the territory or they come by themselves.

The Centre’s capacity is of 100 places and if needed, the institution can receive up to 150 people. At the Centre, shelterless people benefit from warm food three times per day, as well as from clothes, footwear and hygiene products.

At present, 30 people with disabilities are sheltered at the Centre, of whom some cannot move, while the others need palliative care.

The budget of the Centre for hosting and orientation of people without stable residence for the 2023 year is of 7.2 million lei.
