Moldovan MPs to convene at plenary meeting on 24 November

Chisinau, 20 November /MOLDPRES/ - The next plenary meeting of the parliament will take place on 24 November, starting from 10:00. The standing bureau today approved the agenda of the parliament meetings on the 24-30 November.     

According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, the lawmakers will consider six drafts related to EU. Among them, there are legislative initiatives on the enforcement of international restrictive measures, ensuring the work of the electric energy market, amendment of the Law on the state assistance and of the Law on protection of consumers, management of the safety of road infrastructure.   

The parliament will discuss, in the first reading, a string of drafts received from the government. It is about the draft laws on the carrying out of discounts in cash, state guaranteed mediation, adjusting the legislation in the field of road transport. In the second reading, the MPs will discuss more legislative initiatives related to the sectors of justice, economy and environmental protection.

At the same time, the lawmakers are to ratify the Agreement with EU on Moldova’s Participation in the Single Market Programme, the Agreement with Portugal on economic cooperation, Agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the modernization of the railway’s infrastructure, protocol and Agreement on Moldova’s participation in the European Union’s Civil Protection Mechanism.  

On the next period, the parliament will denounce, in the second reading, seven agreements signed on the platform of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). They regard such fields as information activities, training specialists for anti-terror subdivisions, providing the border guards’ troops with weapons and military technology, civilians’ evacuation in case of emergency situations, nuclear researches and accidents at electric energy objects.
